Inside the cabin

What makes Delta One worth chasing

The Delta One Suite launched in 2017 as the world's first business class with a door, and the head start shows: the product is mature, quiet and remarkably consistent across the A350 and A330neo fleet. The weak spots are the older 767s, which carry a non-suite cabin; part of booking Delta One well is simply knowing which aircraft flies your route.

On the ground, the new Delta One Lounges are the best any US carrier operates, with sit-down dining and shower suites. In the air, expect chef-designed menus, Missoni amenity kits and the most reliable operation among US airlines.

How we book it for less

The negotiated-fare angle

Delta rarely runs public business class sales, but its SkyTeam joint ventures with Air France, KLM and Virgin Atlantic create negotiated fare contracts our advisors compare on every transatlantic quote. We confirm the A350 or A330neo suite before ticketing, never the 767 by accident.

Travelers, in their own words

What people who flew Delta One actually say

I would argue the newer D1 on the [A350-900] is better than Polaris.

From a flyer who splits Asia and Australia trips between the two:

Delta food and crew far exceed United! ... IFE is equal. Seats are about equal.

The Delta A350 product is far superior to old Polaris, as is DL catering.

Answers, upfront

Delta One, answered

What is the difference between Delta One and Delta One Suites?

Delta One is the cabin class; the Delta One Suite is the seat with a sliding privacy door found on A350s and A330neos. Older 767s sell Delta One without the suite door. We confirm the aircraft type before you book.

How much does Delta One cost?

Published Delta One fares run $4,500-$9,000 round-trip to Europe and $6,500-$12,000 to Asia. Negotiated fares through FlyBusinessClass typically fall 30-50% below those ranges on the same flights.

Which routes have Delta One Suites?

Most A350 routes from Detroit, Atlanta, LA and Seattle to Asia, plus A330neo services to Europe from Boston, JFK and Atlanta. The aircraft type decides it, which is exactly what your advisor verifies.
